
- To be pierced in sterile surroundings by a clean, conscientious and qualified Piercer wearing a fresh pair of disposable gloves.
- To a sober, calm, friendly and knowledgeable piercer, who will guide them through their piercing experience with confidence and assurance.
- To the peace of mind, which comes from knowing that their piercer understands and practices the very highest standards of sterilization and hygiene.
- To be pierced with a brand-new, fully sterilized needle, which is immediately disposed of in a medical sharps container after single use on the piercee alone.
- To be touched only with freshly sterilized, appropriate implements, properly used and disposed of, or adequately re-sterilized prior to further use on anyone else.
- To know that ear-piercing guns are NEVER appropriate, and are often dangerous, when used on anything other than ear lobes.
- To be fitted only with jewellery that is appropriately sized, safe in material, design and construction, and which best promotes healing. Gold-plated, gold-filled, and sterling silver jewellery is never appropriate for any new or unhealed piercing.
- To be fully informed about proper aftercare, and to have continuing access to their Piercer for consultation and assistance with all their piercing-related questions.
The day before your piercing:
Rest well, eat well and avoid alcohol and recreational drugs.
On the day:
Eat adequately prior to your appointment, particularly if you are having an oral piercing, as occasionally it can be uncomfortable to eat afterwards.
Eating properly also ensures that your blood glucose level is suitably concentrated, and therefore helps to minimise risk of fainting.
If you are aged 16-21, please bring along official photographic identification in the form of either a:
- Passport
- Driving license (provisional okay)
- A valid student card stating your date of birth
- Birth certificate with corresponding photo ID
- Citizen card
*Please be aware that we will refuse to pierce you if you cannot prove your age with appropriate ID
